A bomb squad responded to a suspicious package at the home of Sweetwater Mayor Orlando Lopez Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Miami-Dade Police officials confirmed that their bomb squad responded to the home to assist Sweetwater Police.
The package was found to have been addressed to the wrong recipient and contained clothes and electronics, officials said.
No other information was immediately known.
