Bomb Threat Causes Evacuation of Deerfield Beach High School

An early morning call of a bomb threat caused the evacuation of one Broward County high school.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies say the call was received at Deerfield Beach High School off SW 15th Street shortly before 8 a.m. The school was placed on lockdown and students were evacuated to the school’s football stadium.

Bomb squad officials responded and searched the school, giving it the all clear and allowing everyone to return around 9.30 a.m.
