Bomb Threats Evacuate 2 Southwest Florida Schools

Two southwest Florida schools were evacuated Wednesday morning after bomb threats were made, officials said.

Riverdale and Lehigh Senior high schools were evacuated after handwritten notes were found in bathrooms at both schools, a Lee County School District spokesperson told WBBH.

Students were evacuated to on-campus stadiums at both schools while authorities inspected buildings.

Both schools were cleared around 9 a.m. and students were allowed back to class.

No other information was immediately known.
