Swimming Safety

Drowning is the leading cause of death in children under 4 years old in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Broward mother Nidia Pita knows about the importance of pool safety firsthand. When her son Dylan was 3 he was found floating in the family's pool. After the accident, Dylan came to Julie Gross to learn to swim. She created a five day program to teach any kid how to swim, even a special approach for children with autism.
