Marshall's Wife's Bond Set at $1,000

Michi Nogomi-Marshall was arrested Friday morning for violating a restraining order

The wife of Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall has begun the process to bond out of jail, according to inmate records, after a judge set bail at $1,000 Saturday morning. She is expected to be released Saturday.

Michi Nogami-Marshall, 27, was arrested Friday morning at the couple's Southwest Ranches home for "clearly" violating a restraining order that prevents her from contacting or coming with 500 feet of her husband.

The order was set in April after Nogomi-Marshall allegedly stabbed her husband in the abdomen during a dispute at the same house.

Friday's arrest occured after a verbal dispute at the home prompted a hang-up call to 911.

When deputies responded, Nogami-Marshall explained she had been living at the residence while Marshall was out of town and that an argument broke out upon his return.

The identity of the 911 caller was redacted in police reports.

"The described actions by the defendant clearly violate the pre-trial conditions pursuant to the order to stay 500 feet away from the residence and to 'not' have contact with the protected party," the police report stated.

Marshall recovered fully from his injuries but has yet to workout with quarterback Chad Henne this offseason, which has been marred by the NFL lockout.

"We're not allowed to talk to our players because of the lockout," said the Dolphins' senior vice president of media relations, Harvey Greene. "As a result we haven't had a chance to talk to Brandon, so we won't have a comment."

Interestingly, Marshall has reportedly been stabbed by a woman once already. His high school sweetheart and longtime girlfriend, Rasheedah Watley, told ESPN in a 2009 "Outside the Lines" special that she had used a knife to defend herself from him in a 2007 domestic dispute.

Marshall and Nogami-Marshall were married in April 2010.

A message left for Marshall's agent was not returned. No attorney was listed for Nogami-Marshall.
