Breast Cancer Awareness Month starts on Oct. 1. Here's where you can go for deals that will benefit breast cancer research and discounted mammogram screening and diagnostic services.

The Atlantic Hotel & Spa Offers "Think Pink" Packages

The Atlantic Hotel & Spa will donate 10 percent from all "Think Pink" package bookins made during October to the American Cancer Society. The package comes with a choice of two pink cocktails and two pink desserts for each guest. Spa Atlantic, on the fifth floor of the Atlantic Hotel & Spa, will also offer "pink-inspired" specials throughout the month inlcuding: a pink grapefruit body scrub for $75; a pink grapefruit pedi scrub for $10 and a pink diamond mask for $35. Spa Atlantic will also donate 10 percent of proceeds to the ACS.

Baptist Health Lowers Cost of Digital Mammograms

Baptist Health will reduce the cost of digital mammograms for uninsured patients through the month of October. Screening mammograms will cost $50 and diagnostic mammograms will cost $100. All digital mammograms will be reviewed and interpreted by board-certified radiologists. A doctor's prescription and appointment are necessary.

Festival Flea Market Offers Mammogram Screenings

On Oct. 13, Festival Flea Market Mall will offer on-site mammogram screenings. Shoppers will be able to get screened between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the Boca Raton Regional Hospital MammoVan. Festival Flea Market Mall is located at 2900 West Sample Road in Pompano Beach.

JCPenny to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Through the month of October, JCPenny will be selling breast cancer awareness tees, hoodies, pants, accessories, men's ties and more. Customers will also receive pink temporary highlights, free with any $32 salon service. The week of Oct. 11th, JCPenny will also donate $1 from every hair cut or trim to City of Hope, a research and treatment center for cancer. Customers will also be invited to "Give Breast Cancer the Boot" by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar to support breast cancer awareness programs.

Miami-Dade Firefighters Wear Pink

Miami-Dade firefighter/paramedics will be wearing pink through Oct. 11 to support breast cancer awareness. MDFR's "These Boots Are Made for Walking" team is looking for raise $5,000 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. Miami Police Goes Pink

The Miami Police Department will sport pink badges through the month of October to support breast cancer awareness. For the third year in a row, officer purchased their pink badges individually to benefit breast cancer research.

P.F. Chang's and National Breast Cancer Foundation to Paint 11-Foot Horses Pink

More than 250 of P.F. Chang's iconic warrior horses will be painted pink in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Anyone who posts a selfie to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with one of the pink horses and uses #PaintPFChangsPink will generate $1 towards the cause. P.F. Chang's will also donate $1 for each Spicy Tuna Roll or California Roll ordered at the restaurant. The goal is to raise $100,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
