Pit Bull Owners Upset After Police Shoot Dog in Fort Lauderdale

The owners of a pit bull who was shot by an officer in Fort Lauderdale after police said it attacked a K-9 said they think the killing could have been avoided. Antonio Spann said his dog was shot twice.

Eighty-four percent of NBC 6 voters said in a survey Monday that they do not think Broward County should pass a pit bull ban.

Fifteen percent said the county should pass a ban, and 1 percent were not sure.
