Broward Sheriff Scott Israel Clears Hurdle in Re-election Bid

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel easily beat his three democratic rivals to run for reelection in November.
Israel will likely win his second term as top cop in Broward County. 
It was a landslide primary victory Tuesday for the incumbent. 
Israel finished with 65 percent of the vote, while his closest opponent, Willie Jones, trailed with 18 percent, Jim Fondo with 12 percent and Edison Jules with about 5 percent.
Israel will now face Republican challenger Santiago C. Vazquez, Jr. in November.
