Brush Fire Burns in Florida Everglades in West Broward

Authorities were monitoring a brush fire in the Florida Everglades in west Broward Wednesday.

The brush fire was reported near U.S. 27 south of the 26-mile bend Tuesday night, Department of Forestry officials said.

About 100 acres have been burned in the fire, which is believed to have been caused by lightning, officials said.
