A brush fire that broke out in western Broward County grew to 350 acres before it was put out Monday afternoon, the Florida Forest Service said.

The fire was reported west of U.S. 27 near Weston.

The fire posed no threat to buildings, including homes, forestry officials said.

A second brush fire was also reported at the back of Markham Park in Sunrise. It covered about half an acre total in three different spots.
