Burglars Target Laser Hair Removal Machines, Arrest Made

One suspect has been arrested in connection to the burglaries.

Laser hair removal machines are being stolen in a string of burglaries throughout South Florida, according to a South Miami Police news release.

The laser machines are valued between $68,000 to $100,000 each.

In January, the Spyros Med Spa in South Miami was burglarized by a group of individuals who smashed the front of the business and wore masks to hide their identity. The burglars placed the laser machine into a dark colored Ford F-150 pick-up truck with license plate: 190XBD, police said.

During an investigation, officials said 12 other burglaries have occurred in South Florida with laser hair machines and laptops being targeted.

Police have identified several individuals they suspect were involved in the burglaries. One of the suspects, Kelsey Williams, was arrested in Miami Beach on Sunday and was charged with burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief. It is unclear if Williams has an attorney.
