‘Canes Fans Gear Up for Game Day

Many customers were headed out of the store and going to Tallahassee from there.

Enthusiastic University of Miami fans walked in and out of the All Canes store in Coral Gables to gear up for Saturday's game against Florida State.

"When you're part of the culture you can never leave, once you're a Canes fan, you're a Canes fan for life," said Aria Mahtapfar, a Hurricanes fan.

Many customers were headed out of the store and going to Tallahassee from there.

"Once I buy my tie I'm going to the Big Cheese, getting a nice little meal, and then riding out to Tallahassee," said Devin Parra.

All Canes employees say the most popular items today were everything with long sleeves. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 45 degrees in Tallahassee tomorrow night.

"One of the popular things we have is our "got nine" shirts. We made them long sleeves. It shows how many championships we have which is nine. Florida has five and Florida State has three," said Sergio Madrigal, an All Canes employee.

One customer says that even though he is a UM alumni, his son is currently a student at FSU. Surprisingly, his house isn't divided.

"He is a senior at Florida State, but he is a Cane fan. He will be wearing green and orange with all of us," said Arturo Rodriguez.

Many Canes fans, however, acknowledge it will be a close game.

"We're winning by a touchdown," said Rodriguez.

"I think it'll be a close one, I think Miami wins by three," said Parra.
