    Celebrity hair stylist Marco Peña.

Models will strut down the catwalk with sleek, straight hair at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014, said celebrity hair and makeup artist, Marco Peña.

Peña, who said he will not be using the usual beach waves, will be styling for two of this year’s swimsuit designers: Agua Bendita and Beach Bunny Swimwear.

“The trend is going to be straight hair,” Peña said. “Using this look in such an important runway is a good way to reinvent the look.”

His goal is to highlight hairstyles that are easy to do at home and that will show the natural beauty of the hair.

Although hair types vary depending on model casting, Peña is expecting a variety of brunette tones, reds and blondes.

He will be working with an experienced TRESemmé team of stylists and said he is looking forward to working with their products.

“You get that look by using a hair iron, which is also why it’s important to take care of your hair,” he said. “That’s why this is a good opportunity to show the benefits of using a good line of products for the hair.”

Peña said he hopes the audience and his customers can be inspired and can learn to take care of their hair.

“Seeing beautiful hair on the runway is the biggest prize,” Peña said. “It’s about the creativity, about the opportunity to explore new things. Everything is possible, we don’t have limits.”

Although Agua Bendita and Beach Bunny Swimwear each have a unique style, Peña said he will be staying away from the beach waves and using more of a straight trend for both.

He did not want to give away details of the upcoming shows but said he is looking forward to one important detail:

“We have big surprise,” said Peña. “Surprise In both fashion shows.”
