Child Prank Calls 911 With “Deez Nuts,” Apologizes with Handwritten Note

A sixth grade student in Savannah, Georgia has apologized to police after he prank called an emergency dispatcher and shouted "Deez Nuts!," according to Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police.

The student said he was dared by his friends and hopes officers will forgive him.

“Please forgive me for what I said. I know there will be consequences … I will not complain about them,” the note read.

The boy's mother made him apologize by writing a hand written note and bringing it to the 911 call center staff that was on duty the next day, according to police.

The staff were so impressed by his apology that they decided to give him a tour of the call center and show the boy how a prank call can interfere with their work and put the public at risk by taking dispatchers and first responders away from emergency situations.

The boy's parents have punished the boy for the prank.

The phrase "Deez Nuts" has become a popular phrase after a Vine video of a man calling someone and shouting "Deez Nuts" went viral on social media over the last few months.
