What to Know

  • Afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 60s on Monday.

The coldest air of the season has arrived in South Florida as the latest front has residents and tourists grabbing for that extra layer of clothing Monday.

Temperatures across the area dipped into the mid to upper 40s to start the day, producing the coldest temperatures of the winter season so far. Afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 60s on Monday.

But don’t get used to that sweater and hot beverage as temperatures Tuesday morning are expected to be around 15 degrees warmer with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s through the middle part of the week.

South Florida’s inconsistent weather pattern will continue when another front arrives Thursday, bringing morning temperatures in the 50s and highs in the upper 60s for Friday and throughout the weekend.
