Chris Bosh Thanks Heat Fans in Emotional Letter

Chris Bosh posted a letter on his personal site thanking Heat fans on Friday

Chris Bosh reflected on his Miami Heat career and thanked fans in a letter on his personal site on Friday.

Bosh who was not medically cleared to play, wrote of his time in Miami in the past tense. While Bosh still remains a part of Miami's organization, it has become increasingly likely that he will never suit up for the team again. At this point, Bosh's future playing career is uncertain in general.

"I remember the fans of Miami coming out to see the show every night. The love, the compassion and the energy we felt was second to none. I want to thank the city of Miami from the bottom of my heart because things may change but the good times will last forever in my memories," Bosh wrote in part of the letter.

Miami's entering a new chapter with second-year players such as Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson taking on larger roles. Bosh and Dwyane Wade won't be there when the season begins after being a big part of the Heat roster for years.

"Things are different now and Miami has incredible young talent with a tremendous upside. These are not only talented ball players but great people and friends. I enjoyed playing with those guys and doing my best to mentor them by being an upstanding role model and veteran player. It’s their time to go through the ups and downs of the game with this great city," Bosh added.

Bosh's full letter thanks not only the local fans in Miami, but fans in general.

"I want to thank not only the fans of Miami but everyone around the world who has supported our team and who has supported me through this time," Bosh wrote towards the end of the letter.

With blood clot issues potentially ending Bosh's career early, he will be remembered for his contributions on two of Miami's championship teams. Tributes from the Heat can be expected going forward if and when Bosh's time officially ends with the team.
