Chris Bosh Could Miss Rest of Season

Chris Bosh had tests performed on his lungs on Thursday and could miss the rest of the season

Miami Heat star Chris Bosh underwent tests in a local hospital on Thursday and could miss the rest of the season, according to a report by the Miami Herald.

The area of concern is Bosh's lungs with the possibility of blood clots. Thus far, the Heat have said that the tests were inconclusive. The team is expected to address the issue further on Friday.

Bosh did not feel like himself at practice on Wednesday and was sent to a doctor for evaluation. Following that, Bosh did not attend the team's practice on Thursday and also did not travel with the team to New York.

On Sunday, Bosh took part in the All-Star Game and showed no signs of any injury. A day prior, Bosh also participated in All-Star Saturday Night where his team took home its third straight title in the Shooting Stars Competition. There were no signs of any ailment on that evening either.

Bosh first complained about the pain while in New York but continued on with a trip to Haiti on Monday.

In Bosh's absence, the Heat will likely turn to James Ennis and Chris Andersen for increased minutes. Dwyane Wade who will be making his return to the court will be the main offensive weapon with Bosh out.

Miami will also have the services of Goran Dragic after acquiring the guard from the Suns earlier on Thursday.

The Heat will open up the second half on Friday night in New York at Madison Square Garden.
