Churchill's Pub Owner Accepts Offer to Sell Landmark Miami Bar

The bar, located at 5501 NE 2nd Avenue, has been a Little Haiti fixture since 1979.

Churchill's Pub owner Dave Daniels announced Thursday he plans to sell the Miami landmark by this spring.

"An offer was made and we accepted," read a statement on the bar's Facebook page. "There are still many things that can go wrong with the deal but if it all pans out ownership will change in May. The club could continue its tradition of cheap drinks and great live music 7 nights a week but ultimately it's up to the new owners what to do with the place."

The bar, known for it's loud music, cheap drinks and soccer watch parties, has been a Little Haiti fixture since 1979. On the corner of Northeast 2nd Avenue and 55th Street, it shares walls with local music store Sweat Records.

The name of the Churchill's potential new owner has not been released, according to the Miami New Times.
