The City of Miami announced Monday that Chief Rodolfo "Rudy" Llanes will be their new chief of police.
City Manager Daniel Alfonso made the announcement at Miami City Hall at a 3 p.m. news conference.
Llanes has been with the department since 1986. Orosa, who has held the position since 2011, is retiring next month.
