Closing Soon: Bebe Employees in South Florida Will Soon Be Unemployed

All Bebe employees in South Florida are set to lose their jobs as the retailer closes all stores. A total of 133 Bebe workers are expected to be laid off at the 13 South Florida stores.

The California-based retailer is ditching its brick-and-mortar sites nationwide to focus on online sales, Bloomberg first reported on March 21.

Bebe will shutter its stores at Aventura Mall, Dolphin Mall, Shops at Pembroke Gardens, Shops at Merrick Park, Sawgrass Mills Mall, Miami International Mall, Dadeland Mall, Lincoln Road Mall, The Falls, Galleria Mall, Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Town Center in Boca Raton and The Mall at Wellington Green.

Employees at the South Florida stores could expect to lose their jobs by May 27.

Bebe announced it will close all 170 location nationwide to avoid filing for bankruptcy protection.
