Coast Guard Searching for Missing Diver in Ocean Off Fort Lauderdale Beach

The Coast Guard launched the Coast Guard Cutter Dolphin along with a rescue helicopter and a small boat to search for Raroha.

Coast Guard crews are searching for a missing diver after he never resurfaced Saturday.

According to the Coast Guard, 45-year-old Pompano Beach resident Marc Raroha went diving with two other people approximately one mile off the coast of Fort Lauderdale near Oakland Park Blvd.

The captain of the the diving boat notified the Coast Guard around 4:45 p.m. that two people resurfaced but Raroha did not.

The Coast Guard launched the Coast Guard Cutter Dolphin along with a rescue helicopter and a small boat to search for Raroha. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Broward Sheriff's Office and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue are all assisting in the search.

The Coast Guard said it will send an aircraft to search for Raroha Monday morning.
