The Coconut Grove Arts Festival has hit a milestone by presenting its 50th annual celebration.
Thousands of people attend, and there is a little bit of everything for everyone: Live music, kids are able to play, and the fair food we all know and love. But the largest draw is the 380 artists, showing everything from paintings to jewelry to photographs to sculptures.
“We're just so excited that the art in Coconut Grove where it all started is still here and just going strong, getting better and better,” said Marshall Steingold, with the arts festival.
Michael Gard was hard at work festival. Among his creations were colorful figures that look like they’re dancers.
“It's been good,” Gard said. “I got some new work. The colored stuff is new, and people are noticing it and it's been busy."

Art enthusiast Tatiana Riveron appreciated Gard’s works.
"It caught my attention, because I love dancing and I love dancers,” Gard said. “So I thought with a very stiff medium that it somehow got the movement of the dancer.”
First-time festival artist Robert Bromberg and his handmade Judaic jewelry were making impressions with the crowd -- and festival judges.

One ring, a detailed replica of the temple of Jerusalem won second place this year.
Bromberg’s “mechanical engineering background allowed me to make some very complicated detailed pieces with moving parts,” Bromberg said.
