Colombian Hot Dog Restaurant Damaged From Fire

The fire gutted the entire restaurant.

The Columbian hotspot known for its unique hot dogs in southwest Miami-Dade was damaged from a fire and is out of business.

Lidia Rodrigues works at the cafeteria across the way and says when she saw the flames at the fast food hang out known at Los Perros, she called 911 immediately.

The fire gutted the entire restaurant.

“Mostly everyone is concerned about the safety of everybody of the staff that worked in the restaurant,” said Cesar Millan, brand manager for Los Perros.

Milian estimates the damage to be more than $100,000, and he says if it wasn’t for that quick call to 911, this entire strip mall could have looked just like Los Perros.

“Thank you to Lidia, one of the girls who works at the cafeteria and to the fast response of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. They were able to put the flames out before they got any worse,” said Millan.

Fire rescue says nobody was inside the restaurant at the time of the blaze.

“it’s just cleaning up painting and getting back on our feet," said Millan.
