Several funnel clouds were sighted across Miami-Dade County on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
About 11:15 a.m., the weather service published a photo via Twitter of a funnel cloud in south Miami-Dade County. No touchdown was reported with that funnel cloud.
Helping make conditions ripe for funnel clouds was an east coast sea breeze that pushed slowly inland, with a few showers, said weather service meteorologist Kim Brabander.
βThe sea breeze is moving slowly, and the low-level winds are extremely light,β Brabander said.
