Several funnel clouds were sighted across Miami-Dade County on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

About 11:15 a.m., the weather service published a photo via Twitter of a funnel cloud in south Miami-Dade County. No touchdown was reported with that funnel cloud.

Complete Weather Coverage

Helping make conditions ripe for funnel clouds was an east coast sea breeze that pushed slowly inland, with a few showers, said weather service meteorologist Kim Brabander.

“The sea breeze is moving slowly, and the low-level winds are extremely light,” Brabander said.
