A man has died after he was crushed by heavy construction materials inside a tractor trailer in Key Biscayne Wednesday.
The incident happened in the area of Harbor Drive and Harbor Lane as the man was in the cargo area of the truck.
Authorities say the unidentified 40-year-old man was crushed by windows that fell on top of him. The 3,000-pound windows appeared to have slipped off of a loader and fell right on top of the victim.
Firefighters were seen sawing into the side of the metal truck in an attempt to rescue the man, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
No names have been released in the incident and police are still investigating what happened.
