Hollywood Police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist then drove away from the scene.

The accident happened on the Sheridan Street bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway around 9:20 p.m. last Friday, police said.

Willmar Edwardo Galeano, 45, was riding his bike over the bridge when he was struck by a white Chevy passenger van.

The whole incident was captured by cameras mounted on the bridge.

Galeano was seriously injured and taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died two days later.

Now police are looking for the driver of the van, which they say is a newer model and has highmounted rear taillights.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hollywood Police at 954-967-HELP.
