Cops Nab Suspect Who Robbed, Groped Woman in Car

Police arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery that took place last Wednesday near a gas station on S.W. 104th Street.

Roberto Perez-Capdevila, 28, was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, armed kidnapping and simple battery, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Perez-Capdevila allegedly jumped into a woman’s car with a gun in hand and told her to start driving. He sexually assaulted the 22-year-old and ordered her to drive to a different location, according to a police report.

When they reached the area of 40th Street and S.W. 72nd Avenue, Perez-Capdevila allegedly demanded money from the woman. She gave the suspect her wallet and quickly exited her vehicle. Perez-Capdevila also got out of the car and fled on foot, police said.

Surveillance video from a nearby gas station captured a man matching Perez-Capdevila’s description making purchases with the victim’s credit card.
