Costco Relocating Miami Store, Set to Open Next Week

Shoppers who love to get their bulk items from the Costco store in Miami will be heading to a new location starting next week.

The company will be opening their new facility on Thursday, April 6th at 8 a.m. at 7795 W. Flagler St. – located next to the Mall of the Americas off the Palmetto Expressway. The building, more than 25 percent larger than their current structure just two blocks away, will include a gas station as well as a food court, optical department, photo center and pharmacy among other amenities.

“The relocation of the Miami facility will provide our members with an extensive product selection in numerous categories – including fine wine, apparel and electronics,” said Warehouse Manager Justin Spira.

The new location will employ a total of 300 people, around 70 more than the current spot. It’s one of 25 stores in the state of Florida, 508 in the United States and 729 across the world.

The current building, which opened in October 1989, will close at 6 p.m on Wednesday to finish moving items into their new home.
