Forestry officials said a brush fire that broke Monday afternoon in Southwest Miami-Dade was under control. Officials said 610 acres have burned.
The blaze started on the east side of Card Sound Road and Southwest 384th Street. Flames jumped onto the west side of the Card Sound Road.
US1 was closed in both directions earlier in the day, but both US1 and Card Sound Road have since reopened.
The cause of the fire is unkwown.
