Croqueta lovers rejoice. Finally, an event that speaks our love language!
Croquetapalooza takes over Magic City Casino this Sunday and promises a ham-packed event for all you croquetaholics out there.

Pincho factory, El Rey De las Fritas and Ms.Cheezious are some of South Florida's favorites that will be participating and showing off their croqueta-making skills.

Of course, ham croquetas will always reign supreme at our local cuban bakeries, but Pincho Factory will be showing off a lamb and feta croqueta with jalapeno hummus that'll be sure to win you over.

Sergio's will be tantalizing everyone with their chorizo and mushroom croquetas, and B&S Gastropub is making jamon serrano and manchego croquetas.

These are just a few of the croquetas that you'll be able to sample at this first-of-its-kind event brought to you by Burger Beast.

"I love Fritas so I created Frita Showdown," said the Burger Beast himself, Sef Gonzalez. "I love burgers so I created Burger Brawl. But my original love was croquetas and I needed to write an event love letter to them."

Gonzalez said he will always stay true to his favorite food; a nice, juicy burger. But he says comfort food is where it's at.

"When Latinos make friends and celebrate with their families there is always one thing present: Croquetas," he said. "It is the basis of our comfort food."
