Cruise Ship Given ‘All-Clear' After Security Threat Deemed Not Credible

The Celebrity Reflection cruise ship was given the "all-clear" Saturday after a security threat was found to be not credible, officials say.

Cruise officials implemented safety procedures and stopped boarding passengers at the PortMiami Saturday morning after reports of the threat. Law enforcement authorities were promptly contacted.

Celebrity Reflection received the "all-clear" at 2 p.m. and resumed boarding.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the parent company of Celebrity Cruises, released the following statement:

"This morning, Celebrity Reflection received a security threat that appeared to not be credible due to the nature and content of the threat. In an abundance of caution, Reflection immediately implemented safety response procedures and contacted law enforcement authorities. At 2 p.m., Celebrity Reflection received the "all-clear" and resumed boarding. We apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may have caused."

The Celebrity Reflection was embarking on a 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing with stops in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
