Cutler Bay Pet Store Worker Put Phone Under Shopper's Skirt: Cops

Joanka Ortiz, 21, was arrested Sunday on one count of video voyeurism

An employee of a Cutler Bay Pet Supermarket was arrested after a female shopper said he put his cell phone under her skirt while he was helping her with a product.

Joanka Ortiz, 21, was arrested Sunday on one count of video voyeurism for the alleged incident at the Pet Supermarket at 18970 S. Dixie Highway, according to an arrest report.

The woman told police she was receiving help from Ortiz while shopping for a dog product, which was placed in her shopping cart. Ortiz requested that she look closely and read the ingredients, but when she leaned in to get closer, she looked back at Ortiz and noticed he had his phone under her skirt, the report said.

The startled woman called police, and officers arrived and took Ortiz into custody, the report said. His cellphone was impounded for evidence.

Ortiz remained behind bars on $7,500 bond Monday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
