Dalai Lama Visits South Florida

Tibetan spiritual leader Miami Beach, UM

The Dalai Lama will be in South Florida to speak about the significance of world religions.

The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader is scheduled to speak Tuesday morning at the Temple Emanu-El in Miami Beach. He will then head to Coral Gables to give an address titled "The Quest for Happiness in Challenging Times" at the University of Miami's BankUnited Center.

Tickets for the events were free, but no more are available.

At the temple, Latin Grammy award-winning flautist Nestor Torres will perform a piece for the Dalai Lama, who will share the stage with representatives of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Jainism and Taoism.
