Dead Horse Found in Street: Miami-Dade Police

Police say they may not be able to find the person responsible for leaving a dead horse in the street early Thursday morning in Miami-Dade.

Police say they received a call just after 7 a.m. Thursday from a homeowner who said a dead horse was lying in the street at Northwest 122nd Avenue and Northwest 169th Street.

According to the preliminary investigation, the horse did not appear to be mutilated or injured, and appeared to die of natural causes or dehydration at another location before being illegally dumped at that location.

There will be a follow up investigation by the Agricultural Patrol Unit.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
