Designer Deja Berkham will be showing versions of the white strappy bikini that Britney Spears wore on the cover of "SHAPE" magazine at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
“It’s our top selling suit and we are bringing a really good variety of colors and fun prints,” said Berkham, who designs the line Deja Soleil. “We will be showcasing it as our feature.”
Deja Soleil will also be bringing various designs of cover-ups that can be paired with the swimsuits.
For the last three years, Berkham said her focus has been on bringing swimwear that “makes a woman feel sexy but stays in place.”
She has focused on designing swimwear for active moms who care about a bathing suit that stays on. She has also decided to design swimwear that does not go out of fashion and can be worn through two or three seasons.
“Customers want bathing suits that will last more than one year,” Berkham said. “I focus on structure and longevity.”
Berkham hopes to keep her styles sleek and simple with minimal art and jewelry.

“You don’t want a hot piece of metal on your skin or an odd tan,” she said. “I want a long lasting good fit.”
And as she looks back at her short career, she is grateful of the advantages she got through the magazine cover.
“It’s been surreal, like a dream,” Berkham said. “It was glamorous and sexy.”
