In this handout photo provided by Universal Orlando Resort and taken June 13, 2014, today June 18, Universal Orlando announced that The Wizarding World of Harry Potters Diagon Alley will officially open on July 8, allowing guests to experience even more of Harry Potters adventures in an all-new, magnificently-themed environment.

The Diagon Alley expansion to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando opened Tuesday to packed crowds.

Diagon Alley joins Hogsmeade, which opened in 2010. Parkgoers can now take the Hogwarts Express between the two attractions with a Park-to-Park admission ticket or annual pass.

Like the first Harry Potter park, the new area is richly detailed, bringing to life characters and settings from the series.

Included in the attractions are the Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts ride, Ollivanders wand shop and other stores, and the Leaky Cauldron and other eateries.
