The bullldogs' owners voluntarily surrendered the dogs

An 11-year-old dog named Bu was attacked and killed by two American Bulldogs who live in the townhouse next door, according to Hialeah Police.

The victim's owner said the dogs dug under the fence in the backyard. They claim bulldogs got into their yard a few days ago and bit another one of their dogs.

A Miami-Dade animal control investigator was called to the scene at 1900 W. 72nd St. on Monday.

“Right now all I can tell you is I've made contact with the dog owners and they are willing to surrender the dogs to Miami-Dade Animal Services, and they will probably be issued two citations for their dog killing the victim dog,” investigator Luis Salgado said.

The bulldogs were taken away Monday afternoon, and their owners will be fined $500 for each of the two citations.
