Dolphins Win Game, Lose Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill suffered a knee injury in Miami's 26-23 win over the Cardinals on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins lost their quarterback while beating the Arizona Cardinals 26-23 on Sunday.

Ryan Tannehill suffered a knee injury in the third quarter and did not return to the game. The team has not confirmed the severity of the injury, but there is a report that Tannehill suffered a torn ACL. If this is accurate, the QB would be done for the season.

Before exiting the game, Tannehill threw for 195 yards on 15-20 passing and was having one of his finer games. The QB would limp off to the locker room, and it immediately appeared to be a potentially serious injury. Matt Moore would take over from there and the backup QB could see lots of action the rest of the season.

Moore did well in his short work for 47 yards and led Miami down the field for the game-winning field goal as time expired. The veteran backup has shown an ability to provide consistent offense and Miami will need that if Tannehill is done for the season as it appears.

On the ground, Jay Ajayi was kept mostly quiet with 48 yards. Miami as a team had 83 rushing yards in the win.

The Dolphins will play the New York Jets on Saturday at 8:25 p.m.
