A felony domestic battery charge has been dropped against the founder of The Ticket Clinic law firm, online Miami-Dade court records show.
No action has been taken against Mark Gold, 58, in the case that closed Friday, court records said.
Miami Beach Police arrested Gold in October, with his fiancée telling police that Gold struck her and pushed her to the ground during an argument at their Rivo Alto Island home, The Miami Herald reported.
But Gold said that his fiancée attacked him – and prosecutors ultimately decided that they could not prove the charge, according to the Herald
"Mr. Gold wants to thank the State Attorney's Office for conducting a careful and thorough investigation into this matter and agreeing with him that he committed no crime,” his attorney Christopher Lyons said in a statement. “Mr. Gold would never strike a woman. He looks forward to enjoying the holidays with his family and focusing on his highly successful business, The Ticket Clinic.”
