Donald Trump Speaks at Rally in Miami Friday

Less than two months before voters will go to the polls and decide who will be the next President of the United States, one of the two major party nominees spoke in Miami Friday.

Donald Trump attended a rally at the James L. Knight Center, as supporters and protesters gathered outside.

"Welcome to all of you deplorables!" Trump told the applauding crowd as an image reading "Les Deplorables" flashed on a screen behind him.

Trump touched on a number of subjects, including Democrats calling him a racist.

"When they are in trouble, they always bring out the 'racist' word," Trump said. "It’s the oldest play in the Democratic playbook, and Americans have had enough of it. We get it."

Trump also discussed Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's support of gun control, joking that her bodyguards' guns should be taken away.

"Take their guns away, let’s see what happens to her," he said.

The Republican Party nominee was scheduled to have an event in Miami earlier in July, but cancelled in the wake of the deadly shooting of multiple Dallas Police officers that same day.

Before Friday's rally, Trump attended an event with about 100 members of Miami’s Haitian community that was closed to the public.
