‘Don't Panic': Woman's John Morales Shirt a Hit on Social Media

A South Florida woman is showing her admiration for NBC 6 chief meteorologist John Morales with a "good luck" T-shirt.

Elly Dominicis is a devoted Morales viewer, especially when it comes to severe weather. So much in fact that she made a tribute T-shirt two years ago during Hurricane Irma.

"I really grew up watching him and just decided let’s make a shirt that’s a tapas for good luck," Dominicis said.

Dominicis said she decided to wear the shirt again during Hurricane Dorian. A photo of the shirt posted on Twitter received more than 1,000 retweets, and requests started coming in for where it could be purchased.

"I just took a picture, posted it on Twitter and from there I guess he saw it, retweeted it, and I blew up," she said. "My notifications were going crazy."

Dominicis is now making the shirts for other Morales supporters. The shirt can be found here, with proceeds from sales of the shirt going to the American Red Cross.
