Police in Doral are searching for those people behind a recent rash of ‘car hopping’ going on in the city – as thieves target unlocked cars in residential areas.
At least 12 cars have been targets in the Doral Isles community. The thieves find the car doors unlocked and steal contents from inside. Several victims say they have items stolen that included credit cards – with one of the cards being used at various restaurants in the Hialeah area.
The suspects were captured on surveillance video purchasing their meal at one of the locations. Anyone with information is asked to call Doral Police or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
Officers are advising residents who live in the Doral Isles area to lock their car doors at all times, even at their home.
