Driver Arrested After BSO Deputy Injured in Crash

    A Broward Sheriff's deputy was hospitalized after another car crashed into her police cruiser early Wednesday morning, officials said. The crash happened sometime before 2:30 a.m. on Oakland Park Boulevard just east of I-95. The deputy wasn't seriously hurt but was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a precaution.     A Broward Sheriff's deputy was hospitalized after another car crashed into her police cruiser early Wednesday morning, officials said.

    The crash happened sometime before 2:30 a.m. on Oakland Park Boulevard just east of I-95. The deputy wasn't seriously hurt but was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a precaution.

    Officials said the driver of the other car, a white Volkswagen, was arrested after he was found to be driving without a license and on a flat tire. No alcohol was involved in the crash, officials said.

    Authorities haven't released the identities of the deputy or the driver.
