Even early into October, the late-summer weather pattern continues to hold on tight to South Florida.

Early showers will linger though mid-morning Thursday before weather conditions transition to partly cloudy this afternoon with highs around 89.

Showers are possible again overnight with lows dropping to 78 with East winds around 5-10 mph.

Friday is a repeat performance with early showers east and afternoon thunderstorms moving inland with highs in the upper 80s.
