Early voting across Florida for the presidential primary has ended.

Early voting has wrapped up in South Florida ahead of Tuesday's Republican presidential primary, and the turnout numbers are in.

In Miami-Dade County, 24,421 people went to the polls, and in Broward, a total of 11,008 people voted early. In Palm Beach County, 13,210 voted.  Meanwhile, in Monroe County 2,623 votes were cast.

Florida's Department of Elections said the statewide early voting turnout was at 293,760.

Of the more than 4 million registered Republican voters, a total of 632,513 Republican votes have been already cast.

More than half a million Republican absentee ballots were requested and almost 340,000 were returned.

Polls open in South Florida for the primary 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
