An elderly man crashed his car into an apartment in Margate, authorities said Wednesday. The passenger of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but no other injuries were caused, Margate Chief Firefighter Dan Booker said. The driver was able to walk away from the car.

An elderly man crashed his car into an apartment in Margate, authorities said Wednesday.

The passenger of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but no other injuries were caused, Margate Chief Firefighter Dan Booker said. The driver was able to safely walk away from the car.

The family of the apartment owner visiting from Germany was inside the apartment. None were harmed and they are expected to stay with a neighbor, authorities said.
