Hialeah Police are looking for a purse snatcher who knocked and elderly woman to the ground and dragged her for several feet as she fought back in an incident caught on camera.
The theft happened back on Aug. 31 at 4950 West 12th Avenue, as the woman stood talking on her cell phone, police said.
The man suddenly grabbed her purse, knocking the elderly woman to the ground. After she lost her grip, the suspect ran off on foot then left in a gray Nissan Sentra, police said.
The woman suffered bumps, bruises and scratches, Hialeah Police Sgt. Eddie Rodriguez said.
"This man's taken advantage of elderly people, he takes advantage of this poor old lady," Rodriguez said. "Obviously someone like this we need to get off the street."
The suspect is described as a while male in his early 30s, about 5-foot-nine, with a medium complexion and average build.
