Music mogul Emilio Estefan was honored Tuesday with the Ohtli award by the government of Mexico.

It's the highest award given to a foreign civilian who's been an exemplary leader in the Latino community.

With the Presidential election weeks away, Estefan had a message for the Latino community.

"I'm not telling you who to vote for but the President of the United States needs to respect everyone including Latinos," said Estefan.

The Ohtli Award is granted once a year. The word Ohtil means "path" in the Aztec language of Nahuatl.
