An escaped prisoner has been taken back into custody, according to Miami-Dade Police.
There was an active police scene near 36th Street and Northwest 72nd Avenue in Miami on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the man was handcuffed and on his way to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center when he escaped.
No further details have been released about the prisoner or how he escaped.
