More than 30 giant bullet holes covered windows, walls and cars while bullet casings littered the ground at a Northwest Miami-Dade home after a random shooting Wednesday.
Shooters sprayed the house for about thirty seconds to one minute as a family of six slept inside the house at 10501 NW 5th Ave. at about 4 a.m.
"My mom was just standing up, she was praying, she was bold," resident David Louis said. "She didn't care bullets were flying, they were still shooting."
Incredibly, no one was hurt. The family said they don't know who could have targeted their home. They say they are a church-going family with two orphanages in Haiti.
"Do you think it was a mistake or do you think it's just people out there wanting to do harm to anybody?" Louis said. "I'm praying to God with all my heart that it was a mistake, cause these people were shooting to kill."
Detectives are also investigating a similar shooting that happened 15 blocks away, at 12001 NW 5th Ave.
